    Hi Sheree,
Thanks for taking action with Food & Water Watch by submitting your comments on oil and gas development to the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet (EEC).
I wanted to let you know that in addition to accepting comments online, the EEC is hosting a public hearing to allow interested parties to submit verbal comments. Written comments are important, but showing up in person and delivering verbal comments can be even more powerful.
Can you attend the public listening session? At the session, you will have the opportunity to give brief oral comments about why fracking should be banned in Kentucky.
Thursday, July 30 — Hazard, KY
Hazard Community & Technical College, One Community College Dr., Hazard, KY
The meeting will be held in Room 208 of the Jolly Center, located in the JCC Building. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The meeting is from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Remarks from the meeting will be captured on video and used in a report back to the oil and gas work group, made up of environmental interests, industry representatives and regulators. We need to make sure that Kentucky communities are represented too.
Please let me know if you would like more information or materials to get prepared for the listening session.
I hope to see you there!

P.S. Rather not present comments at the hearing? We’d still love to have you in the audience. Numbers get noticed.
